New Player Tips: The Best-Dressed Quests Test
New Player Tips
May 24th by Kaivax

New Player Tips is a recurring feature in which we ask World of Warcraft veterans to share their thoughts and advice for new adventurers on a variety of in-game topics.

This week's topic is:
Must-see Quest Lines

It's rare for a player to spend much time in Azeroth without completing a few quests. Quests are everywhere in World of Warcraft, and they're the primary means by which players learn about and experience the many stories and histories of Azeroth and Outland.

To a new player, World of Warcraft offers a dizzying array of quests to pursue, presented by NPCs surrounding the fledgling hero in every direction. As levels rise and players experience hundreds and even thousands of quests, the character's narrative comes into focus -- but there are so many quest lines and zones in Azeroth that many players will reach maximum level without having seen some of the best.

So we turn to you veterans for assistance and ask how you would guide a new player toward the best quest lines in World of Warcraft. Where would you suggest a player go to find the most epic questing experiences? What are the must-see quests, and the top quest lines? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

See what players had to say last time about finding the guild for you.

What’s your favorite kind of quest line?
I prefer a long, focused, and epic story arc that dives deeply into Warcraft lore.
I like big quest lines that branch off and give me options to play my character differently.
Quest lines that are unique to my class or profession are the best.
I want quest lines that make me travel the world. I don’t care how long they are, so long as they encourage me to see everything.
My favorite quest lines are the ones that encourage me to join together with other players. Groups for the win!
Short quest lines that I can start and finish in less than half an hour are perfect.
I've made a point of not questing in World of Warcraft. I stick to PvP, killing monsters, exploration, or pursuing other activities.
