New Player's Guide
Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. Adventure is all around you. Will you become one of Azeroth's legends? Everything you need to take that first step is right here.
Banks
Sooner or later you’ll notice that your bags are getting full. Visit a capital city and find the nearest bank to store all the stuff you’re schlepping around.

Mounts
At level 20, you will be able to learn the riding skill. Upon reaching higher levels, your skill in riding will improve, allowing your mounts to run faster and some even fly! Capitals are home to riding instructors who may be able to help you with that.

Trainers
Your character can learn different professions for fun and profit, and capitals are the ideal place to do so. Just ask a guard for directions.

Playing Together

Sooner or later, you will come across a quest that is marked in your quest log as “(Group).” As the name implies, you will probably need a group to complete these quests, because the monsters you face are far more powerful than your run-of-the-mill baddies (the rewards also tend to be much more epic). Even when you’re not trying to put an end to some unspeakable, ancient evil, occasionally teaming up with other players* is never a bad idea.

*Tauren and Night Elves don't actually get along. We strongly advise against approaching the opposite faction for help.

Party Up
If there are other players from your faction in the same area as you going after the same quests, you can right-click their portrait, and “invite” them to join your group. Everyone in a group of up to five players will share quest credit.

 Vendors
Every town has a vendor that will gladly purchase whatever items you have. Buzzard bladders? He’s all about it. Broken raptor teeth? Can’t get enough. Visit these guys to unload any item that neither you nor any other player could have any use for. Do that often, and keep your inventory lean so you have enough room to pick up valuable items.

Auction Houses
At the auction house, players buy and sell all kinds of useful items. If you ever need something specific such as a profession item or are looking to upgrade your gear, you are likely to find what you’re looking for at the auction house.

Trading One-on-One
You can also trade directly with other players. Target the person you’d like to trade with, right-click their portrait, and select “Trade.” This opens the trade window. You can transfer items, gold, or both.
